Federal EV Tax Credit

What EV Tax Incentives Are Available at Mall of Georgia Ford?

Right now, qualified buyers can save up to $7,500 with the Clean Vehicle Credit when purchasing an eligible Ford EV. There’s also a separate credit available for installing a home charger. These incentives are part of a federal program set to expire soon. The charger installation credit ends June 30, 2026, and the EV tax credit ends September 30, 2025, unless renewed by Congress.

How Is the $7,500 Credit Structured?

The full credit breaks down like this:

  • $3,750 for EVs that meet U.S. battery content requirements
  • $3,750 for EVs that meet critical mineral sourcing guidelines

Some Ford models may qualify for the full amount, others may only qualify for a portion. We’ll help you verify what applies.

What Conditions Must a Ford EV Meet?

To qualify for the Clean Vehicle Credit, the Ford EV must:

  • Be new at the time of purchase
  • Contain a battery with at least 7 kWh capacity
  • Be assembled in North America
  • Come from a qualifying manufacturer
  • Stay under $80,000 MSRP for trucks, vans, and SUVs

Price limits apply as well:

  • $80,000 MSRP cap for SUVs, trucks, and vans
  • $55,000 MSRP cap for all other vehicles

Buyers must also meet income requirements, and the dealership must report the sale properly to the IRS for the credit to be applied.

What If You Miss the Deadline?

These federal EV benefits won’t last forever. The tax credit expires September 30, 2025, and the home charger credit ends June 30, 2026. Once they're gone, they're gone. Planning ahead can help you avoid missing out.
