2023 Ford F-150 vs 2023 Ford Super Duty

Ford's F-series has established itself as a leader in both the light-duty and heavy-duty truck segments. While the F-150 dominates the former, the Super Duty reigns supreme among the world's best heavy-duty trucks. However, the F-150 and Super Duty are not merely scaled-up or scaled-down versions of each other. Rather, both models possess distinct characteristics, making them fierce leaders in their respective classes.

Performance

It is only natural for light-duty and heavy-duty trucks to have significant differences in performance, and the F-150 and Super Duty are no exception. The F-150's base model engine is a 3.3L V6 that delivers 290 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. In contrast, the Super Duty's base engine is a 6.8L V8 gas engine that generates 405 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque. Both models offer multiple engine options, with the F-150 topping out at 430 horsepower and the Super Duty at an impressive 500 horsepower. Additionally, the Super Duty boasts an astounding 1,200 pounds of torque.

Appearance

As a light-duty model, the F-150 has a more streamlined and athletic design. Its body is constructed with a high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy and a high-strength steel frame. Meanwhile, the Super Duty has undergone a complete overhaul this year, featuring a near-piping system that surrounds and accentuates its thick, highly decorative grille. Both the F-150 and Super Duty boast full and vertical LED headlamps and new features like tailgate-down cameras and bed views from the cabin make it easier to admire your truck while driving.

Features

Ford's commitment to its customers' needs is evident in the new interiors of both models. They feature a center console that doubles as a work surface, perforated leather-appointed seats for comfort, and two large 12-inch screens for the front passenger. While perforated leather is available earlier in the Super Duty lineup, it's also an option for the F-150, along with real wood trim and leather seating. Both models also feature Ford Co-Pilot with automatic emergency braking and lane departure alert.

Whether it's for work or play, the F-150 and Super Duty are two bold and best-selling Ford trucks that can keep up with whatever you have in store. Contact us online or visit our dealership to learn more about these award-winning Ford pickups from our expert sales team.
