2018 Ford Expedition - Redefined Utility

Featuring refreshed styling, a new engine and various ways to customize, the new Expedition is an ideal choice. The large SUV is able to accommodate up to eight passengers and offers truly impressive towing that tops off at more than 9,000 pounds. This is made possible by the vehicle's newly revised V6 that offers more power than its predecessor.

To find out if the SUV is right for you and your family, continue reading our 2018 Ford Expedition review below.

Three Well-Equipped Trims

The 2018 Ford Expedition in Buford is offered in XLT, Limited and Platinum trims. Standard, the sophisticated SUV comes equipped with running boards, 18-inch alloy wheels, heated side mirrors, power-adjustable pedals, a six-way power driver seat and a 60/40-split fold-flat third-row seat for added convenience.

Technology-wise, the Expedition sports Ford's Sync voice-control system, a 4.2-inch central display, six USB ports, Bluetooth, satellite radio and a nine-speaker sound system. More amenities can be had by choosing one of the two available packages: 201A and 202A. A favorite with 2018 Ford Expedition reviews, the 201A package gains a wide range of additional creature comforts, including eight-way power-adjustable front seats, leather seating and a power-folding third-row seat.

If that's not enough, we recommend going with the Limited trim, which offers heated second-row seats, leather steering, retractable running boards, roof rack rails and a Bang & Olufsen 12-speaker audio system with HD radio.

Engineered for Success

Underneath the hood of the 2018 Ford Expedition in Buford, you'll find a 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. Paired to the brand-new 10-speed automatic transmission, the engine is able to deliver a smooth, exhilarating driving experience. Buyers can choose between rear-wheel- or all-wheel-drive configurations. The Platinum features the same engine, however, it increases horsepower (400) and torque (480 pound-feet).

Purposeful Safety Systems

Every new Expedition comes standard with a rearview camera, high-quality airbags, antilock brakes and seatbelt pretensioners. To further enhance your security, you can select from many driver-assist technologies. Available options include automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist and forward collision warning.
