What's New For The 2019 Ford Expedition?

The Ford Expedition made its debut in 1997. Last year, the auto manufacturer fully redesigned the Expedition. Ford developed a new exterior design for the large SUV, making it more modern and streamlined. The car maker even gave the vehicle a more powerful V6 engine and paired it with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Ford also updated the interior with new advanced features. Because of this, the auto manufacturer only updated the 2019 model minimally with a new Stealth Edition package and a new special-edition model that drivers can get with the Limited trim.

What are the Trims & Features for 2019?

The 2019 Ford Expedition is available in three trim levels. Each one features a variety of options. The XLT is the base model, and you can get it in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Standard gear includes seating for eight people, running boards and 18-inch alloy wheels. It also has a push-button ignition, a power-adjustable driver's seat and a 60/40-split fold-flat third-row seat. In the category of technology, the XLT trim features an 8-inch touchscreen. It also has Ford's Sync program, four USB ports and Apple CarPlay along with Android Auto smartphone integration. The trim level comes with a six-speaker sound system. With the XLT, Ford is offering two more packages, ones that come with features like a power-adjustable front passenger seat and simulated leather upholstery.

If you buy the Limited trim, your vehicle will have everything from the XLT model along with 20-inch wheels, retractable running boards, heated seats in the second row and front parking sensors. This model also comes with a 12-speaker premium B&O Play audio system. As with the XLT, Ford is offering the Limited with two optional packages. These packages come with amenities that include a 360-degree view parking camera, 22-inch wheels and LED headlights.

The most high-end Expedition that money can buy is the Platinum trim. This model comes with niceties like interior wood accents, front seats that have a massage function and leather door trim. It also features active noise cancellation to give you an especially quiet ride.

Which Powertrains are Available on the 2019 Ford Expedition?
