What's New for the 2020 Ford F-150?

The 2020 Ford F-150 hit the scene with a Power Stroke turbo-diesel V-6. It's available on XLT trims and is a great addition. A level higher than the XLT is the Lariat model that has also received a notable upgrade. Lariat trucks now have Co-Pilot360, the advanced driver-assistance technology that has become a standard feature for this model.

An option for the XL is the STX Sport Appearance package, while XLT and Lariat trucks have options for three attractive new colors and the Black Appearance package. The three available colors are Star White Metallic Tri-Coat, Iconic Silver, and Rapid Red Tinted Clearcoat.

Between these models, you will likely find what you need and want. Each model offers the luxury of a sedan with the benefits of a full-size pickup. Ford continues to offer three cab types, which are the Regular Cab, Super Cab, and SuperCrew Cab.

The benefit of being able to choose a larger cab is you'll have plenty of room if your truck is for both work and play. The seduction of the 2020 F-150 isn't just that it's roomy and luxurious, it also has impressive options, like a panoramic sunroof, Wi-Fi connectivity, more than enough storage space, and massaging seats that are cooled and heated. Most of the engine options are a good pairing with the 10-speed automatic transmission. The most powerful F-150 engine is the twin-turbo V-6 that has the capacity to tow 13,200 pounds, which makes it a clear leader in its class. Without the Trailer Tow package, an F-150 can pull up to 7,000 pounds with either the V-6 or the V-8. The V-6 has consistently finished top of the class across categories when competing against some of the biggest V-8 engines. You'll appreciate the smooth ride on many surfaces.
