2021 Ford Ranger

What's New For the 2021 Ford Ranger?

For 2021, a new Black Appearance Package is on the Ranger's list of options. It adds several black exterior treatments, including 18-inch black alloy wheels and black Ford badges. Newly available paint colors include Cactus Gray, Carbonized Gray, Cyber Orange, and Velocity Blue. Adventure seekers will be interested in the all-new Tremor Off-Road package, which helps the Ranger to dominate the rough backcountry. It adds a lifted suspension with FOX racing shocks, 32-inch all-terrain tires, and rear recovery hooks.

Which Trims & Features Are Available in 2021?

Ford offers the Ranger in three primary trim levels: XL, XLT, and Lariat. The entry-level Ranger XL is perfect for drivers who're on a budget. It comes loaded with Bluetooth, a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, and a convenient USB port.

Drivers seeking more amenities can step up to the Ranger XLT. It comes standard with Ford's popular SYNC 3 infotainment system, which features an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. You'll also receive satellite radio and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Atop the lineup is the leather-appointed Lariat trim. It provides heated power seats and front/rear parking sensors. Available as an option, the 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system brings a powerful soundtrack.

2021 Ranger Power & Performance

Every new Ranger comes equipped with a 2.3-liter, EcoBoost four-cylinder engine. A total output of 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque makes it the most powerful standard engine in the class. There's enough muscle for you to tow up to 7,500 pounds. Power is sent to the wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission. While rear-wheel drive comes standard, you can opt for a capable 4WD system.

Ford Ranger Safety at the Forefront

Ford designed the new Ranger to keep you and your passengers safe. Pre-Collision Assist with automatic emergency braking comes standard throughout the lineup. All trims also benefit from Ford's MyKey system, a big stress reliever for parents who have a teen driver at home. It allows them to set driving restrictions, including a top speed. Other available safety features include blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
