What's New for the 2026 Ford Escape®?
The 2026 Ford Escape® carries over mostly unchanged from the previous model year. The primary update is that the Escape® is no longer available for purchase in California or any state following California's stricter emissions standards. Aside from that, drivers can still enjoy its roomy interior, supportive seating, and refined ride quality.
What Are the 2026 Escape® Trims & Features?
The lineup begins with the Active® trim, featuring dual rear USB charging ports, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, an eight-inch touchscreen, and a six-speaker sound system.
The ST-Line adds a sporty look with body-colored lower trim, a mesh-style grille, and a rear spoiler, along with an athletic flat-bottom steering wheel and 18-inch wheels.
Next up, the ST-Line Select includes LED fog lamps, remote start, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.
The ST-Line Elite upgrades to 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, ambient interior lighting, a fully digital instrument cluster, and wireless phone charging, plus more safety tech.
At the top, the Platinum™ trim includes a large 13.2-inch display, synthetic leather seats, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2026 Escape® Have?
The Active® and ST-Line trims are powered by a 1.5L three-cylinder engine producing 180 horsepower, while higher trims, starting with the ST-Line Select, feature a turbocharged 2.0L engine delivering 250 horsepower.
What Safety Features Does the 2026 Escape® Include?
Standard safety technologies include blind-spot monitoring, forward collision mitigation, lane-keeping assist, and rear cross-traffic alert.
