What's New For the 2020 Ford Transit Connect?

For 2020, Ford has added a few upgrades to its Transit Connect. A rearview camera and a forward-collision warning system are now standard on the Transit Connect. Also standard are automatic emergency braking and automatic headlights.

Available Trims & Features in the 2020 Ford Transit Connect

You can pick up the 2020 Ford Transit Connect in three different trim levels, which include the XL, the XLT, and the Titanium. The Transit Connect is also available as a cargo or a passenger van. If you choose the passenger model, you get seating for up to seven passengers. The XL, which is the base trim model, comes with a six-way adjustable driver's seat in vinyl and has remote keyless entry. If you choose the highest trim level, the Titanium, you can have leather seats installed and a navigation system with a touchscreen. With the Titanium, you also get Co-Pilot360, which is an advanced set of driver aids, which are also standard on the next trim level down, the XLT. All trim levels come with a display measuring 4.2 inches that features Bluetooth capabilities and a set of four speakers. The XLT and the Titanium add SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link, SYNC3, and wireless charging.

2020 Ford Transit ConnectThe 2020 Ford Transit Connect features a 2.0-liter GDI I-4 gas engine that pumps out 150 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 144 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm. Its displacement is 122 cl, and it's a sequential electronic direct fuel injection engine. It has an exceptional fuel economy that offers 24 mpg city, 29 highway, and 26 combined. The Transit Connect is a front-wheel-drive vehicle that is paired with an 8-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.

Curve control helps drivers stay in control if they take a curve to quickly by reducing engine torque and activating four-wheel braking. Also standard is AdvanceTrac with RSC (Roll Stability Control), which is an advanced electronic stabilization system that gives drivers exceptional control during all driving conditions, including icy and slick conditions. The Ford Transit also comes with trailer sway control, which provides stabilization during towing by braking or reducing engine torque when the trailer being towed is swaying. On the XLT and Titanium trims, enhanced safety features include automatic high beams and lane-keep assist as well as blind-spot monitoring.
