What's New For the 2019 Ford Fusion?

The 2019 Ford Fusion is a great-looking vehicle, continuing an iconic look that has been around for years now. With its style, comfort, utility, and practicality you'll learn more of what's to come in the 2019 model year.

It's been slightly tweaked in terms of appearance and features; all models now come with standard blind spot monitoring and auto emergency braking. These safety upgrades are quite welcome, as is the 8-inch infotainment touchscreen and smartphone integration.

Multiple Trim Selections & Enhanced Features

The lineup has been scaled back somewhat for the 2019 model year, with the S, the SE, SEL, Titanium, and Sport trims being the only ones available. We like the SE; it has a long list of standard features, as well as several different engine choices. The all-new Co-Pilot360 Assist safety system is an option, with its voice navigation and adaptive cruise control. SEs also come with dual climate controls, smartphone integration, and the easy-to-use Sync 3 voice control setup.

What Powertrains are Available Under the Hood?

2019 Ford FusionThere's a lot to consider in the 2019 Ford Fusion model line, but even the base model has an above-average ride quality. The base model comes with a 2.5L inline four-cylinder that puts out 175hp, which works well with the six-speed automatic transmission.

Starting with the 1.5L turbocharged engine found in the SE and the SEL. It puts out 181hp and delivers great low-end torque. The 2.0L, 245hp turbo in the Titanium edition is a good upgrade for those who frequently carry passengers or live in the hills. The top engine is the 2.7L V6 found in the Sport. It puts out a stout 325hp and 380 lb. ft. of torque, which more than holds its own in merging and passing.
